Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UW.2ADE/1424.1 Message Board Post: In the 1940's I lived in a tiny community in Mendocino County called Westport, Ca. There was a Shannon family named as follows: Ted, the father was a logging contractor Ester, his wife, was active in the Grange William was the oldest son Laura, a daughter, Ted, in my class and understood he went on to become a California Highway Patrolman Trudy, I think later on went to Colville, Wa. Another boy I think was Carlton, the baby. Bill, the oldest I believe moved to eureka, ca. I know the family once lived in Trinity County. In the 70's I think they separated and I saw Ester in the late 70's slimmed down from the 200# area to a svelt 130 and was going with a man I think called Jackson in Fort Bragg,Ca. that owned a hardware store. Hope this helps. Regards Earl Haas
