WALKER Mrs. Nadene B. Walker, a native of Pennsylvania, passed away at a convalescent hospital in Willits, Monday morning, Nov. 5, after an illness at the age of 87. She received her education in the schools of Pennsylvania and moved to California in 1906. She made her home in San Francisco for many years, prior to moving to Fort Bragg 8 months ago to make her home with her daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Vann and Florene Parker. She was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren. Her husband, the late Walter Walker preceded her in death in 1966. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Chapel of Cain-Grove and Haverfield Funeral Home, with the Rev. W.J. Forsyth officiating. Amy Hautala as organist accompanied Wesley McCoy, vocalist, who sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “In the Garden”. Inurnment was at Golden Gate National Cemetery at San Bruno, California. Walker, Walter F. – born May 18, 1887 California & died July 28, 1966 in San Francisco Co., Calif. at age 79 yrs. with mother’s maiden name: Horricks (this is the only Walter Walker listed to die in yr 1966 in the Calif. Death Index).
