Another boy I think was Carlton, the baby. >> That's right--Ted, jr., is my father. He retired from the CHP, is still alive and working (elsewhere), but soon to retire. He and my mother, Rosalie (Kollenborn) Shannon have five grandchildren. My dad's email is in the CC above; I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. <<In the 70's I think they separated and I saw Ester in the late 70's slimmed down from the 200# area to a svelt 130 and was going with a man I think called Jackson in Fort Bragg,Ca. that owned a hardware store. >> Actually, "Pop" and Esther separated in the late 1950s. Pop remarried "Dolly"; he died in 1979 in Trinity County. In my book about family/cultural/social history, there is a picture of Pop and some friends on the second-to-last page. Would you mind looking at it and seeing if you recognize any of them? You can download it from here: http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?22000000036712 or I can send you the .PDF file directly, if you'd like. You must have Adobe Acrobat installed to read the document (if you don't know whether you do or not, you probably do, as most people do whether they know it or not). My older brother (another Theodore) and I were both born in Fort Bragg (1957 and 1958). -----Original Message----- From: emhwkft2@comcast.net To: CAMENDOC-L@rootsweb.com Sent: 1 Jun 2005 22:08:34 -0600 Subject: [CAMendocino] Re: Theodore Roosevelt Shannon and Esther Nelson--Indian tribe?
