Mr. Cooney, 82, died November 13, in Grass Valley. He had been lving since his retirement in Fresno. He is survived by his wife, Claire; two daughters; Mrs. Jeanne Cooney Strohm of Grass Valley and Mrs. Lucille Cooney Perryman of Manhattan; a son, John of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Smith of Elk; six grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Contributions to favorite charities are preferred.
