B. Hagans in North State Wednesday evening, July 11 following a long illness. Eliza Montgomery was born in Missouri, December 3, 1859. When she was but six months old her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Montgomery, crossed the plains to California, and settled for a short time in the Sacramento valley. From there they moved to Ukiah, reaching here in the fall of 1860. She was married in 1879 to Dan Lynch and nine children were born to them, of whom eight survive, as follows: Martin of Fort Bragg; Mrs. W. B. Hagans, of Ukiah; Roy, of Boonville; Ernest, of Sonoma; Bert, of San Francisco; Mrs. Vic Weiss, of Fort Bragg; Mrs. Lonnie Lowe, of Ukiah; and Lloyd, also of this city. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ellen Gibson, Mrs. F. M. Burke, of Ukiah; Mrs. M. J. Leper, of Oakland; Mrs. A. M. Barbee, of Martinez; J. A. Montgomery, of Berkeley; James Montgomery, of Fort Bragg; Tom Montgomery, of Weaverville.
