Bragg Woman Ida Maude Foster of Route 1, Fort Bragg, passed away at Ukiah Wednesday at the age of 80 years. She was the wife of Walter Foster of Fort Bragg and with her husband lived for more than 30 years 32 miles above Covelo at a place which could be reached only by pack train. She had the distinction of being an avid hunter and fisher. A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Mrs. foster came to California in 1902 and went into Round valley two years later. They moved to Fort Bragg in 1948. Funeral services from Zimmerman Mortuary will be held Saturday afternoon, March16, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Orin Bollinger. pastor of the First Christian Church of Ukiah will officiate. Mrs. J. R. Edgar will be at the organ and Mr. Edgar will sing, Nearer My God to Thee. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mrs. Foster is survived by her brother, Wiley Morgan of Texas, and a niece, Mrs. Helen Stewart of Esparto.
