Stutts died Saturday in a Ukiah hospital at the age of 69. A Hopland resident since 1950, Stutts organized the Hopland Fire Department and served as its chief for many years. He leaves his wife, Nellie, two children, Sibyl Shea of Walnut Creek and Betty Ready of Lafayette, a sister, Alta McElroy of Houston, Texas, and a granddaughter. Officiating at services will be Rev.
