Goble died October 24, 1978 in the Fort Bragg hospital. Born in Illinois (December 25, 1914) she lived in Fort Bragg more than 40 years and was the proprietor of the Welcome Inn for 7 years. Her husband, Preston Goble, son Leslie Goble, both of Fort Bragg, daughter Joni Goble of Fort Bragg, two brothers, Herb Swanson of Santa Rosa, John Swanson of Fort Bragg, and seven sisters: Hannah Murray of Santa Rosa, Louise Roe of Canada, Betty Varain, Marie Sutherland, Maryann Soderlund, Margaret Engle and Isobel Urrizola, all of Fort Bragg, survived. Catholic services were led by Rev. Roger Lamoureux on the 27th; interment was at Ocean View.
