Mr. Hopper died March 21at his home. He was a heavy equipment operator for 19 years for the California Department of Transportation. He was World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Redding Moose Lodge 1006. Survivors include wife Dorothy, son David of Redding, cousins Earline Whittaker and Donna Leventon, both of Willits, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
