Halliday, of Point Arena, Supervisor for the Fifth District, passed away Sunday morning. Halliday's illness started with a heart attack which he suffered in Ukiah while attending a meeting of the Board of Supervisors. In 1938 Mr. Halliday was elected to the office of supervisor of the Fifth District, succeeding the veteran supervisor C. E. Gordon. Holding extensive interests in his district, Mr. Halliday was an ideal selection for the post to which he had devoted himself assiduously during his two years in office.
