Stohl Retired Police Officer Gustav H. Stohl, a resident of Gordon Lane, passed away Tuesday in Sacramento, at the age of 82. He was a native of Sweden and a resident of Mendocino for many years. He had retired from the Oakland Police Department where he had served as the Head Jailor for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mary, Mendocino; his daughter, Emily Chapman, Mendocino, his son, Robert Stohl, San Jose; his sister, Valborg Kalin, San Francisco, and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday at the Cannarr-Fairlee Funeral Home. Reverend W. J. Forsyth will officiate. Services will be under the auspices of the Mendocino Masonic Lodge. Burial will be at Rose Memorial Park.
