This is what I have----FUNERAL OF J.W. LAMBERT - The remains of John Wesley Lambert were laid to rest in the local cemetery Saturday afternoon. The deceased was 57 years old and spent a good portion of his life in this county. Survived by his daughter Fay Taylor of Randsburg, and brothers Ernest Lambert of San Francisco, William Lambert of Boonville, George of this city and mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Washington Lambert, of Anderson Valley who were here to attend the funeral. The deceased was murdered in his capacity as an officer of the law by a couple of thugs at Fort Klammath on the 6th. The murderers were apprehended and will be tried for their crime. 6 Aug. 1911. (Randsburg is in Kern County near Johannesburg) Was this obit in Ukiah paper or Randsburg? Is this the correct date of his death? I am confused!!
