Mrs. Shewmaker was a native of California and lived in Fort Bragg for over twenty years. Mrs. Shewmaker was a member of the Fort Bragg Grange and the ladies auxiliary of the Fort Bragg Eagles. She is survived by her husband, Byard Shewmaker, Fort Bragg; a son, Ronald Hayes, Los Angeles; brother Robert Moranda, Lakeport; mother, Ellen Moranda, Lakeport, and three grandchildren. Services were at the Jones Mortuary in Lakeport with the Reverend William Bohn officiating. Burial followed in the Hartley Cemetery. Local arrangements were made by the Cannarr-Fairlee Funeral Home.
