They came up to this place overland on Tuesday. Mr. Jensen was a former resident of this place and he has purchased the Gwynne ranch which Chas. Hoddinott has been running, and the young couple have taken up their residence there. All kinds of good wishes for the future prosperity and happiness of the newly married pair are bestowed upon them and they are cordially welcomed among us. Jensen - Petersen Walter A. Jensen and Miss Mayme Petersen were married by the Rev. Dr. Evans at the M. E. Church, Stockton, October 27th. The wedding was made a quiet ceremony because of the death of the bride's sister within the year past. The lady is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Petersen, of Bethany, San Joaquin county, and Mr. Jensen is so well known in this vicinity that further introduction is unnecessary. The honeymoon was spent in travel and this pleasant journey terminated at their future home - Point Arena. Mr. Jensen last year purchased the Gwynne farm and there they will reside. The newly wedded pair were the recipients of many and beautiful gifts from admiring friends, while the good parents of both made the new partnership substantial presents in the shape of money, which is generally acceptable. We welcome such an accession of citizens and wish them health, wealth and prosperity. (Note: The Jensen-Petersen marriage was featured in two articles in the same issue. The bride's last name was spelled differently in each article.)

He had carried an empty box home and on reaching the kitchen put his hat on the table and evidently went to the sink for a drink of water and fell to the floor. An inquest was held yesterday before Justice Williams and a verdict of death from heart disease was returned. Mr. Lancaster was born in Ohio and was 70 years old. He came to California 39 years ago, and for the past 26 years was a resident of Point Arena, conducting a shoemakers shop here. The funeral will take place this afternoon from his late residence at 2 o'clock, the interment taking place in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
