Tock, of Fish Rock, was found on the beach near where she fell over the bluff into the ocean and was drowned. It will be remembered, that on last Tuesday afternoon - the 7th inst., Elsie wandered away from home and all the effort of searching parties failed to find her, except that of her footprints leading to the bluff's edge, and other evidences which lead to the belief that she had fallen over it. The finding of the little girl's body, which washed ashore Wednesday evening, settled beyond doubt the manner of the little girl's death. Yesterday morning, Deputy Coroner Slack went down and held an inquest, the coroner's jury empanneled finding a verdict in accordance with the above facts. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the interment was made in the Fish Rock cemetery, Rev. J.W. Robinson conducting the services at the home ! and grave. Mr. and Mrs. Tock have the deepest sympathy of neighbors and the community at large in the bereavement and loss, as Elsie was the only daughter.

Surnames: Wilson Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UW.2ADE/1852 Message Board Post: Point Arena Record Point Arena, CA April 23, 1915 A Fatal Shot A sad affair occurred at Caspar about 2 o'clock Friday morning at the camp of a band of gypsies. It appears that William E. Wilson, Carl Johnson, and Alfred Olson visited the camp at the hour named and threw a flashlight in one of the tents, where a woman and her husband were sleeping. The woman asked the intruders what they wanted, and receiving the reply screamed. This aroused the husband and he fired at the men with a shot gun, aiming low. The shot took effect in the calf of Wilson's leg. That day the wounded man was taken to the Fort Bragg hospital, but he was so weak from loss of blood that he was unable to stand the amputation of his leg and died Sunday. An inquest was held, and the evidence given by the gypsies was substantially as stated. William E. Wilson was born in Canada, April 25, 1886. He came with his parents to California in 1888, and for a number of years lived at Gualala. He died at Fort Bragg, April 16, 1915, leaving four brothers and six sisters. Deceased was a member of Court Arena, A.O.F., and their ceremony was performed at the grave. The body was brought here Monday and taken to Fish Rock, where services were held in the school house by Rev. B.H. Baker in the presence of a large number of friends and acquaintances. The remains were laid away in the little cemetery here where rests the father and mother. George F. Mitchell, the gypsy who did the shooting, has been held on a charge of murder.
