Hi folks- another request from a non listmember- This name, although similar to the name I am researching- ARTRU- is for another Frenchman-named AUTRAND. Looking for his naturalization -(Mel will be looking for this) and any other information- There is some references on the Madera site that they have already found. the researcher writes: We know that are ggreat-grandfather settled in Mariposa County, California, between 1852-1854. He came from France with his 4 years old son Thomas A. Autrand. We actually do not have much information about our ggreat-grandfather and we are trying to find out which part of France he came from " If you happen upon anything for this name please let me know.
