Giovanni Battista SEMORILE settled in Hornitos around 1860. He worked for D. Ghiradelli Company then opened his own store. He lived in Indian Gulch and had a store there as well. My ggrandfather, Lorenzo SEMORILE, was postmaster of Indian Gulch, 1879-1884. A brother, Bartolomeo SEMORILE may also have been a storekeeper in Indian Gulch. I am interested in infor on Indian Gulch and Toledo (or Tolito).
