    3. Hi Tom---Good information-a well kept secret! Grant Spring (s) does not come up anywhere in the state on a USGS query- or in the Topo Placenames search, Gudde California Place Names-- or Historic Spots- What was the name of the hotel and about what year was it there? Was Judge Grant from Mariposa???? I would like to add this place to the Mariposa Place names site- Thanks- Carolyn -----Original Message----- From: Paulette Hilk <paulette@elite.net> To: CAMARIPO-L@rootsweb.com <CAMARIPO-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, May 25, 2001 10:18 PM Subject: Re: [CAMARIPO] Grant Springs ? >Grant Springs was were a hotel stood close to 49 highway. It was close to the top of the hill coming out of the Chowchilla river gorge on the Ahwahnee side. I have a picture of the Hotel and I think there was a cemetery there at one time. I think this is Mrs. James Monroe Graham aka Roxie or Rosie.
