    3. Sharon= What a wonderful opportunity to for me to say thank you to our family that has served our country, and to all those who have served-----------------! My father served as a Marine in WWII- he was in the Pacific-and made it home! My first love gave his life in Viet Nam, a chopper pilot shot down and killed at the age of 20, 1964. He is buried at Golden Gate Memorial, and the 280 Freeway dedication of Blue Star Memorial Highway was done by his mother- he was their only son. My husband was an Air Force Instructor during the Viet Nam era, staying stateside. My husbands family's service to this country dates back to the Revolutonary War (Captain John BLAKENEY and Captain ANDERSON). Numerous family served in the Civil War- It is nice that one of the local Mariposa Eagle Scouts has put veterans symbols on the graves of those who have served. This was a project completed just a few years ago. To all of our listmembers and their families who have served, THANK YOU!
