I would like some information on the Gann family. I have cousins that married into the Gann family and would like to know if Samuel Campbell Gann is related to Andrew Jackson Gann. It seem these two families were in the same places at one time like Stockton and Cathey's Valley. I think I have the obit for Samuel but I am not sure. It was listed as S. C. Gann and tells about them finding a body in the Merced River and nothing about the man or family. Andrew Jackson Gann died in Antioch, Contra Costa County.
