I read the press releases saying that the website http://www.ellisislandrecords.org/ was opened the 17th. I tried repeatedly to get the site up but continually get the message: Thank you for your interest in the American Family Immigration History Center at ellisislandrecords.org Due to an extraordinary number of visitors, we must limit access to the site. Please keep trying, or check back later. I got up at 3 am and thought I'd have a chance getting on and after a couple attempts, the page DID come in...only to have it say the same as it has said for months now "COMING SOON". Does anyone know what the real deal is? Is the difficulty in getting the page to come in merely because word of mouth has made people think it is up and running when in fact, it isn't yet??? thanks Sharon
