    1. Re: [CAMARIPO] GOFF - SIMPSON - CABEZUT
    2. Sharon, a good person to contact about the Cabezuts would be Delores Cabezut-Ortiz, if she is around. We were in touch last year about the Cabezut Family Reunion in Mariposa, but my emails were wiped out by a computer crash. Delores is a sort of cousin-by-marriage (through the Cabezuts) to my mother's cousin Ella SIMPSON (daughter of Katherine GOFF) and is the author of a history of Merced County. The book is out of print, but I was lucky enough to find one on eBay last year. There is one copy listed on www.abe.com for $45. Anyway, Delores might be able to throw some light on the Cabezut-Leonard connection if she is not too busy (working on a history of Mariposa County, I understand). Incidentally, there is a Simpson-Johnson connection in the 1870s, which possibly could be the same Johnson family as Mary (Marguerite) JOHNSON who married Frank Hooky WILSON (whose daughter Lizzie married Ed GOFF).
