Hi! I have a George B. SIMPSON b.1897, who was one of my mother's cousins -- brother to Ella Mae SIMPSON and son of Ben SIMPSON & Katherine Ann GOFF. I don't know anything about him except what is in the records. I looked up George K. SIMPSON in the CA Birth Records and it shows parents SIMPSON & DENEVES. George K. and his siblings were born in the right age range to have been children of George B., but we would have to find a marriage record or census record. This was a Merced family, and my Simpsons were located in Merced. Who knows? Do you have any dates for these Simpson / DeNeves / Prairie relatives? Ella SIMPSON has a daughter still living in Mariposa, but I am not in touch with her. Possibly she would know about George. I'll just throw this SIMPSON reference in- from the Centennial Edition of the Mariposa Gazette-1954 There is an article on the TRABUCCO family of Bear Valley written with the assistance of Ellen SIMPSON. To Louis (TRABUCCO) and Eleanor (LAMBRUSCHINA) were born seven children, several to become outstanding citizens. Frank, firt born, took over the store in Mt. Bullion, where he was psotmaster fo 58 years; John, who assisted his mother in the store and was postmaster and Wells Fargo agent from the late 80's to 1900, operated the Bon Ton Saloon, later opening a hotel and saloon in Mr. Bullion; Joseph, destined to become an outstanding Superior Court Judge; Louis, an extensive cattle raiser, Delida, the youngest, mother of the late District Attorney Louis MILBURN.who assisted with the store and was postmater following her brother, from 1900-1912, before moving to Mariposa. Delisa, as a small girl, accompanied her parent on a trip back to Italy They placed her in a convent their so they could travel, but they could hear her crying and screaming as they drove away- they weakened and took her along with them. John married Nancy CHOISSER,daughter of "Punch" Choisser, early miner and constable of Bear Valley. Of their nine children: Mrs. Ellen TRABUCOO SIMPSON, remained postmaster for eighteen years. and it then tells more about the children of John and Nancy..................... Have fun.....
