Hi List... Since we're on the subject of Simpsons, I thought I'd add my two cents...I search continually for material pertaining to William H and Maria Simpson, who were in Mariposa between the 1850 and the 1860 census and came via Arkansas; he was born in Maryland and she in Tennessee. Their oldest son, William Moroni Simpson, married Alice Bagget, who was raised by the Abner Youngs. The Simpsons ended up in Martinez/Pleasanton...... Cheers, Marie
