HI: Looking for any info on the Malette Mine, purchased by Frederick Houghton in the early 1890's. Also info on the attempt to jump the claim by four men named Howe, Murphy, Harris and Martin and an ensuing shootout between these four men and my Grandfather Frederick and father William. Hi Betty, I'll look into this for you. I take it your grfather is Frederick T. Houghton and father William has a sister Lilly who both were attending Indian Gulch School in 1896.
