Hi, Yes, www.glorecords.blm.gov/search/search.asp?s=31 If you find a likely patent you can buy a copy just like shopping at J. C. Penneys on-line. Unless they increased, it was like $2.00 and they send a photo copy of the original patent. This also makes a good surname search site, often there are references to military service, Rev War, War 1812 or other items that are the basis for granting the patents. Next, if you know the county and can identify the location on their plot maps, a patent would be the original owner and be recorded, first the county assesors office to get the APN and the date of the original recording, then take that info to the recorders office to look up the document. It should be a minimal per page copy fee.
