Hi Folks- the season is gearing up for research visits to Mariposa=- Preparation is a key to a successful visit- First do your preliminary research at the LDS- Remember these key items- Vital Records Indexes - copies of same are found at the Hall of Records- no weekend access The fiche./film of naturalizations etc is located now in the new library open weekends The History Center has family files, audio interviews, maps,tax records, etc. Appointment necessary- Weekends *may* be available So, plan ahead so we can gather what you need (at the History Center) in advance of your visit and get your name on the calendar. The research room is SMALL- and the old ledgers (tax records especially) are LARGE~ Hope to meet you on your visit- Right now I am preparing for Williams visit~!
