I often hear from you folks when the news tells of fire in Mariposa County-thanks for your concern............ Just to let you know that around the town area of Mariposa , south county, there is no fire at this time. However, the Coulterville- Greeley Hill is of great concern............. This fire is called the Creek Fire-------and I am very worried about that area. Several homes have been lost, MANY are threatened..........evacuations are underway......... You can check on what is going on through out the state of California via this site: http://www.fire.ca.gov/cdf_incidents/index.htm - it lists the current status of all the large fires in the state. We have friends with their special belongings packed in Mountain Ranch-the path of the Leonard Fire near San Andreas. There is the possibility of them getting evacuated today........... This is going to be a very stressful next few days ........and you will note with disgust that the Creek fire is listed as an arson fire............and that this act has put many folks in danger of loosing their homes and possibly their lives..............
