Raymond was in Fresno County until 1892 when Madera County was formed. Thanks. His father was Samuel Miller who m Lizzie Stegman, daughter of Henry Stegman who owned a livery stable in Yosemite. Sam and Lizzie lived in Hornitos in the 1850s and 1860s and moved to San Francisco in 1869. They had 3 children. (1) Charles was born 2 Mar 1863 in Hornitos and died 7 Nov 1893 in Raymond; unmarried.
