My Calvert line is short, but here it is: Cornelius Calvert the Emergent, a merchant in Norfork VA before 1700, =m= Mary Sanders (dau of a Rev Sanders) Cornelius Calvert, the Statesman and Mayor of Norfork (twice) b 09-26-1725, died c1804; =m= Elizabeth Thorowgood on c1749. She was dau of John Thorowgood and Elizabeth Mason. Mary Calvert, dau of Cornelius and Elizabeth, =m= William Walke (plantation owner and man of means) on 12-21-1782. Mary died c1798. Home was the 'Ferry" Plantation near Norfork and in Princess Ann County, where Virginia Beach is now located.
