Sept. 4, 1999 There are it seems to me more Calvert families than just the MD/VA and Quaker group. Years ago, a New England Calvert wrote me and I had nothing for her. Never had heard of those Calverts. As far as the Quaker info. goes, I checked on trying to find that particular Thomas. No go at all. There is a Thomas Calvert listed but he is 17th cent. And no more mentioned. The War of 1812 and his participation prob. means that he had abandoned his Quaker beliefs if he were of that Thomas branch.
