First do you use Microsoft Outlook Express for your eamil? And if so which version? If you use the latest version it has the patch in it to prevent you from getting the virus. Next go to this URL and let it check your computer for free to see if you have a virus. http:/housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp your computer will be scanned for free to see if you do indeed have the virus. If you do go to http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/wscript.kakworm.htm There you will find a discription of the virus and information on how to delete it. I am not computer literate but I did manage to follow the instructions and delete the Worm. If you need more help please don't hesitate to contact me. Vicki K
Hi Vicki--I used the scan and do indeed have the virus affecting two of my files. However the web address for symantec that you gave did not work--it said "address not found" so I have been unable to delete it so far. Could you please check that address for me? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: txcalvert To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, March 27, 2000 10:16 AM Subject: Re: [CALVERT] Wscript.KakWorm First do you use Microsoft Outlook Express for your eamil?
