Robert Calvert and wife went to Kanawha Salt Works then in 1817 went to Manchester, OH and later settled in Adams Co. OH . Robert was a Methodist but his wife was Church of the Brethren, or Dunkard. He became a minister COB. Mills Calvert was well educated and he became, also, a COB minister. At least one of his brothers was also a minister. Wm. Quinter b. Adams Co., OH 1851. At age of 19 he was a teacher. In 1875 he and his wife moved to KS. and then went back to OH. He also spent some time in IL. Then he and the family moved to CA and located eventually in La Verne, CA (where there is a Brethren University----and the town was mainly Brethren). His youngest son, Geo. was a rancher in La Verne. Wm. C. Calvert, Ph.D. Psychology, UCLA (MA Stanford) college prof. retired. This fills in at least one branch of Jacob s/o John III.
