Wilma......Yes I have the CD for the book Descendants of the Virginia Calverts. I see you branch out thru Joshua. I have read more about Joshua than I have my ancestor. I branched out through John 1689 and he migrated to Orange Co., Va. Then my line runs through John (1689) son Robert 1715. He was b. in Frederick Co., and died there. It was Robert's son Isaiah that left Frederick Co., with his wife Margaret Cochran. ISAIAH CALVERT7) (ROBERT CALVERT6, JOHN5 CALVERT4, JOHN CALVERT3, THOMAS CALVERT2, JOHN CALVERT4, CALVERT1) was born 1743 in Fredricks Co., VA., and died 1800 in Washington Co., KY. He married MARGARET COCHRAN (*) 1775 in Frederick Co., VA, daughter of WILLIAM COCHRAN and UNKNOWN. She was born 1757 in Fredricks County, Virginia, and died Aft. 1820 in Washington Co. KY. Notes for ISAIAH CALVERT (*): From "Descendants of Virginia Calverts" by O'Goram: Nov. 3, 1777, a deed between Isaiah Calvert (son and heir at law of Robert Calvert, deceased, of County of Frederic, Va.,) and Margaret his wife, and Samuel Colvert is said County and colony, conveying 206 acres of land on the drains of Opequon and being a part of a greater tract of land containing 850 acres granted by Patent bearing date 12 Nov., 1735, to John Calvert deceased, who in his last will and Testament, among other things, willed said Tract to the above-mentioned Robert Calvert, deceased, who died intestate, etc. Nov. 4, 1777, an Indenture between Isaiah Calvert, son and heir at law of Robert Colvert, deceased, of County of Frederick, and Margaret his wife, and Samuel Colvert of second part of said county and colony, conveying 206 acres...granted by Patent bearing date 12th of Nov., 1735, to John Colvert, deceased, who in his last will and testament among other things had willed said Tract to the above-mentioned Robert Calvert, deceased, who died interstate, etc. (Deeds 17, p. 415.) Isaiah Calvert was a Revolutionary soldier. It is not Known just when Isaiah Calvert left Virginia. He emigrated to Nelson Co., KY. in 1790. He paid taxes in Nelson county, KY., in 1793, 1794,1795, but owned no land. Residence in Mercer Co., KY. in 1800. No will has been found. His wife Margaret was enrolled on the 1810 and 1820 Census Records for Washington Co., KY., aged more than 45 years. The 1810 Census carried the names of William and Richard Calvert aged between 25 and 45: and John Calvert less than 26. With Margaret were two young sons and at least two daughters. From such sources as these are compiled the names of Isaiah's children. Genealogical Records: Early Kentucky Settlers 1700-1800: Military Service, Roll of Captain Samuel Robertson's Company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia - Commanded by Colonel Henry Renick, Isaiah Calvert, Private, Date & Place of Muster, Newport, Aug. 31, 1813.
