Assuming the name 'Mary E. Calvert' is in reference to 'Mary Eleanor Calvert', this does seem to be very common in many Calvert lines. My mother, born in 1920, Baltimore, MD, is also a Mary Eleanor Calvert. In reviewing a number of pieces of genealogical information over the last few years, I've noticed my Mom's name turn up often over the last several decades. Among the men, William and George are both rather common.
