Mrs. Cora May Allen died at her home in Washington township at 6:15 o'clock Friday evening (June 7) after an illness of only two days of ureamic poison. Mrs. Allen was born in Washington township February 23, 1883, and was the daughter of Henry C. and Elizabeth Jane Wilkins Calvert. She was married to Clifford Allen October 22, 1902. She leaves surviving her husband and six children; Merrill, Lois, Thelma, Loring, Mary and Opal. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Morris United Brethren church. The funeral services were held at the church Sunday afternoon, June 9, at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was in the Hitler-Ludwig cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jacob and Charles Leist, Joseph Anderson, Ray Bowman, Harry Vandervort and Warner Dresbach.
