    3. Buck, that John Lucas of 1790 census of Spartanburg and the Lemuel Lucas in other census records of SC sound good to me. Why would anyone name their son Lemuel Lucas Pace if it were not for a rich uncle? I'll be at library today and milk it for all it's worth. I'm just beginning on my Lucas line so any John Lucas or Elizabeth Lucas in South Carolina around the Revolutionary War is music to my ears.
