    3. I have the pages from O'Gorman on William Calvert and Elizabeth Nodding [pp. 661-677] input and formated in html for a web page. I would be glad to forward the info to the Calvert homepage or some other appropriate page at Rootsweb. I do have a concern, however, about copyright problems. I recall seeing a post on this list a while back about the copyright to O'Gorman and that it had expired, was invalid, or something to that effect. I understand that the book is currently being republished , so we may have to get permission from that source. While I am an attorney, I know virtually nothing about current copyright law (nor do I particularly care to). As some of you may be aware, here in Utah there is a pending suit in federal court by the LDS church against the Tanners, a hard-core anti-Mormon husband-wife team. They posted a copy of an LDS Church leaders' manual to their web site. The federal judge ordered them to remove the material because it violated the Church's copyright. So they posted links to other sites (like in New Zealand) where the same material could be found. The federal judge then ordered them to remove even the LINKS, findng that the posting of the links was also a potential copyright violation. Recently the Tanners' attorney responded by claiming that the material that was actually posted originally was from an earlier version of the manual, and that it was not ever duly copyrighted. The judge has that matter under advisement. I input and formatted the O'Gorman material to be used as an appendix to a William Calvert - Elizabeth Nodding page that I have been working on for some time. However, I have lately refocused on getting my William & Mary Nodding page finished and posted, so have put the Calvert page on hold. But, I am willing to post the O'Gorman portion if someone can assure me that it is proper.
