    3. Kristine and the Web folks, Dear Kristine, It far more complicated than two lines. The Descendents of the Lords began arriving about 1632 with Leonard, then with a major addition in the middle 1700's with the arrival of Benedict Swingate Calvert. The former was the second son of the Second Lord and the latter was apparently the illegitimate son of a later one, I think the sixth. In between some who became Quakers came in to Pennsylvania. There was even a very early Calvert know as Mariner Calvert in Virginia about the time of Leonard and I am not sure anyone has figured out where he fits or if he had descendents. Then there was my GGG Grandfather JOHN from Ireland, hitting the beaches about 1793. I think a couple Maryland Governor types slipped over from England as well. All this not to mention the Calverts and Calvert Descendents coming from England or Ireland to Canada and then to two or three states here. I think the only solution is to climb back up the tree starting from exactly where you are. It ain't easy but what good is anything but the truth? Good luck. So there are two seperate lines? One that comes from Lord Baltimore and one from John? My line was Baptist in Canada. They came from England. I'm having a hard time figuring out where we fit in to all this. All I know for sure is We went from England (Yorkshire) in the early 1800's then to Ontario Canada, then in 1884 to Minnisota, and finally to Great Falls Montana in 1888. Then everyone scattered after that. > Tracing back from English records have been proving to be very difficult. The first and Only entry I have in George Calvert b. 1806 in Yorkshire England. I found him in Canada census with a wife Ellen. thats it. I can't seem to go back any farther. Does anyone else have any ideas? > Kristine Calvert > > > ==== CALVERT Mailing List ==== > Please do not send spam warnings, chain letters, attachements and/or html or rich text formatted email to the list.
