Greetings fellow Calvert researchers! Below, I will post my connection with William Calvert (Colvard) who married Temperance Butterworth Easley. After William's death, Temperance married Warham Easley. If there is anyone who has a clue on William's ancestry, I would love to hear from you. We seem to have hit a brick wall in connecting William to the "Lord Baltimore Calverts," however I do know something that may be of interest. Has anyone ever heard of the Cherokee Indian supporter Col. William Holland Thomas? Thomas was born in the year 1805 on Racoon Creek, near Waynesville, North Carolina. It has been documented that his mother's name was Temperance Calvert (or Colvard) and he was said to have descended from a brother of the II Lord Calvert. My Tennessee Calverts (Colvards) have always claimed a kinship with Thomas. My Calverts (Colvards) also have, through lateral lines, Cherokee connections. Any help with this would be appreciated.
