Jim, My cousin Charlene Pinkowski Calvert and I are somewhat active on the internet and represent a branch of the Calverts whose immigrant ancestor John and several children came into New York in 1792 or 93, some of whom went on to northwestern PA in the early 1800s, We know that they came from County Armagh, Northern Ireland and were of the rather strict Scotch Covenanter sect of he Scotch Presbyterian denomination. The location of your man's burial in PA and his religious preference is important. We think we know of a few who came to northwestern PA, after the above mentioned so probably related in some way. If your man Hiram was buried in eastern PA and a Quaker or central PA we probably cannot help you, though all Northern Irish Protestant Calverts were more closely related than the English Catholics who began arriving in Maryland about 145 years earlier than the above mentioned .
