I think Hiram was a Roman Catholic - only because his descendants were ardent roman Catholics (his Grand daughter Vera and Great Grand daughter Eileen). I met Great Aunt Vera (Hiram's Grand daughter) in Los Angeles in 1987. She was then around 93. She was afraid of tape recorders so what I have is from notes or memory. I think she said that when she went over to USA via Ellis Island, she went to stay with relatives who were already well established in USA, and that she had been passed around to relatives in Canada, Ohio and in Pittsburgh. I suspect that Hiram was buried around Pittsburgh. I am English and not too hot on US geography. Regards, Jim
