    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Calvert Colbert Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WQH.2ACEB/996.7 Message Board Post: Joanne: I know you made a recent trip to the UK and you were going to look for Mary. Did you find anything? My 3rd Cousin Dale Harlan just returned(these are the Calvert Families of WV and Western VA and PA) and I had asked him to see what he could find to no avail. He did search Yorkshire and Lancaster and elsewhere. I did not post this at ancestry, rather at Genealogy.com, related to what I have found recently. I believe Isaac Calvert who married Faney Bulet(Sic both given and sur) is the son of Alexander Calvert who Married Mary WHeeler, Somerset County MD 1744. They named first son Williiam(supposedly after father) and 2nd son Isaac after Mary's father, Isaac WHeeler son of Edward. This is not proven but does tie into the family heritage putting them in MD. I find tax list record for Isaac Colbert 1783, Queen Anne's and he and William I believe in same county, 1790. Then Isaac Colbert Colvert and Colbert 1800 thru 1820 Census, Greene County PA. In the same somerset records are Nutters whom the Calverts later marry over in Wetzel so I think this is a good indication that Alexander is the father of Isaac. I have also land records that appear to tie these Calverts(by documents, named Calvert but Census is Colbert), and seem to follow the western migration route to western VA. I think I will be in the UK around Christmas. It would be good if you could update us on Mary and anything else. Dale is elderly and I have yet to be filled in about his findings. He was looking at William Calverts trying to associate for me, Alexander of William b 1690 to 1700. We know we have the Will of Wm Robinson c 1796 where William Calvert was Executor. His own will assigns un-named guardian to his son Wm after 1700...this is the father, I think of Alexander. Waiting with interest to see what you found. I will of course forward what Dale Found. Dale Harlan's father married a Calvert of my line in WV that were formerly VA . Suffice it to say I know that Isaac Calvert(Colbert) married Frances. Also, thanks for the look up in Dewell Lott's book. I spent a good portion of the day going over the books of Somerset (worchester) Co MD on Saturday and spend a bit of each Sat at the library. Right now, I am looking at Alexander Calvert as the father of Isaac who is in Greene Co. PA. Not proven but certainly is not an Isaac who is quaker from Ireland(per family heritage, not quaker). thanks for all of your help.. my regards, David
