I was wondering if any of the male Calverts might have gone off to TX and started a family there? I'm trying to track the family of Sara(h) (Sallie/y) Elizabeth Calvert, born 23 Sep 1863 in Polk Co, TX. Later census records indicate both her parents were born in Alabama; I have no further info on them or any siblings Sarah might have had. Sarah married John Newton Hoffman (b VA 1850) in Waco, McLennan Co, TX in Jan 1879; they settled in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co, TX, where they both died in 1945 and 1922, respectively. These were my great-great-grandparents. If any of this rings a bell, please let me know - It's been while since I've chipped away at this particular brick wall, and it would be nice to take another shot at it.
