Leonard Calvert and Alicia (Grace) Crossland had 3 children, according to my records, George Calvert, Lord Baltimore #1 Mary Calvert and John Calvert. I have more information in one of my files. It will take a couple of days to locate. If my records are not on the computer then I have " search " in my files. I hope this helps you out. Gail

Perhaps you could explain more about herbert, provide data sunch as birth and death date, etc. I do have quite an extnesive database on the Calverts. -- Ghupbbfarm@aol.com wrote: Could you please tell me where these Calvert's settled in the US. 3. Cathy,,, My family as I knew it lived in wetzel Co WV near Wileyville about 17 miles out from new martinsville on hwy 7. The farms that albert and John ewing owned were on lynn camp run and on top of the ridge above...Harlan Ridge. The farms of Isaac and Thomas were respectively in what is now greene co PA, Isaac on Roberts run and Thomas on Hoy and Rudolph run in the very southern end of Wayne and Perry Twp. In 1921, Thomas Farm was owned by John Calvert and Isaac by Thomas(Tommy) calvert, both sons of Richard Thralls Calvert, who was the son of John D Calvert, who was the son of Thomas Calvert Sr(my ancestor's brother, Thomas C jr, brother also to Hugh Ewing Calvert. Thomas Sr is first known in this area in 1809 repairing the mill of a Davis if I recall correctly and he was in w of 1812 under Harrison as I mentioned. His father Isaac marrie Frances Bullitt(Fanny) and came to the Dunkard creek area sometime in the 1700s from Carmichaels settlement. I am just guessing now and there is no doc on this. I think his father was Reason Calvert(rezin, resin) who was a son of John Calvert b 1692. John was the son of George Calvert who m elizabeth Doyne. His brother George Calvert is one of the associated lines I am researchinga as well, both out of VA. I find documents on them and Loudoun/Fairfax, northern neck va... Now, back to the more recent time of Isaac and so on, the family seems to be intermixed with Cooksey, Fairfax clark and so on, and JD told the newspaper they came to the US with the Baily family. If this rings "bell"s so t speak, well, sheesh. gain,,,,thanks for taking the time...dai "Time is intemperate--it slides, blindly trying to find the way into hidden places--In those spaces, time falls--hearts yearn, I."Excerpt from the Poem Time by David Edwin Bell --- "Cathy Berger" <o2bab@bedford.net> wrote: I read the other email of Calverts on Dunkard Creek etc and I'm wondering in what state your Calverts lived. Mary "Polly" Merrill was daughter of Benjamin Merrill of Lincoln Co., TN, mentioned in his will of June 1829. My census research suggests that Mary was born shortly after 1800 census. I do not have the names of any of Polly's children. Jane, b. 1813, would seem to be Joseph's daughter by another marriage, unless Polly married at age 13. I specifically need information that proves Garrett Merrill is the son of Benjamin Merrill. He was a witness to the will of his father but not mentioned in it.
