    2. I have been able to find very little information regarding William Calvert. The one I have was born 1846 in England. He was married to Mary Hodgson who may have been previously married, born 1845 in Rhode Island. Their children were Ella L. Frazier (born 1866, NH), Ellen Calvert (born 9Feb1872 in Fall River, MA [from birth record]), Mary E. Calvert (my great grandmother born Sept 1874 presumably in Fall River), and Sarah E. Calvert (born 1877 also born in Mass, presumably Fall River). Most of this information comes from 1880 census records. I also have Mary Calvert's marriage record (to Alexis Saucier) and Ellen Calvert's birth record. Thus far, I have not been able to find any other records though I hope to get back there to the Rhode Island archives (many Fall River residents went to Providence for health care at that time) I also want to check the cemetaries for possible leads. I don't know if any of this helps you or connects to your information but if it does, please let me know. Frances Taylor

    3. Hi Lynne This is Barbara Skinner Joseph and I have written you before. My email address is [email protected] and I look forward to hearing from you. We are working on the same line of the Wetzel County Calverts and are definitely distantly related. My line of Thomas C.'s sons is Albert G. We seem to be stuck in the same place. I do know that Thomas C. bought land in Tyler Co. in 1838. I also know that he is not in the 1840 census of Tyler County but his wife, Elizabeth, and their children are. Don't know where he went, as there were children born after that. Elizabeth is on other censuses but he is not. . Thomas C.'s father Thomas Calvert fought in the War of 1812. He held commission (was an officer) under Harrison, was at Ft. Meigs (Ohio) and the Battle of Tippicanoe (NY). He got around! This was written in an biography of Albert. G. Calvert who was in the legislature, WV, for 2 terms--1876 and 1878--when the WV state capital was in Wheeling, WV. He is not listed under the VA militia. Need to check OH or NY but have not done so yet. I know of two other people who are working on this line. One I am in contact with one and the other I am trying to locate though a friend (dist. cous.) who lives in New Martinsville. We are also more than likely related on the Yoho line. I have lots of information there. Looking forward to hearing from you. Your distant cousin, Barbara PS I am sending a cc to a Lawrence Skinner who is my brother (Larry). He is helping me with this research. 2. I'm sorry I don't know much about the Calvert's. I just know my ancestors have been recorded as COLBERT, CALVERT, and CALBERT. I saw you have a HIGGINS. My gg grandmother was Katherine Higgins Barnes. I have a long query on FamilyHisory.com under James and katherine Barnes if you would like to read about them. I also noticed you have a Postalthwaite the Midwest Genealogical Society has a researcher by that name you may be able to find their family history at this website. http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/mhgs/ Sorry I'm not much help.
