I am researching my Calvert line in Connecticut. Oldest information is my William Calvert who married Deborah Dayton in 1762. They had seven children, Temporance, Jane, William, Phebe, Matthew, John and Thomas. Surnames include Combs, Cone, Dart, Dimock, Elliot, Kearney, Lamb, Mcdaniel, Parker, Pettigrew, Strickland, Thorp, Wood. I would love to hear from other New England and New York Calverts. My great grandfather's brother John Calvert b. April 1840 in NY, NY d. July 22, 1864 during the Battle of Atlanta. He was in the O.V.V.I. When soldiers were killed during battle. Where are they buried? Or are the bodies are returned to the home state? Is there a military cemetery for the Union soldiers in Atlanta?
