    3. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Here is the info you requested. Katie Lenore Calvert b:14 Jan 1895 Bosworth, Carroll Co, MO d:29 OCT 1984 m:Ray Henry Taylor b: 26 OCT 1893 Skidmore, MO d: 28 May 1960 Maryville, MO Stephen E. Calvert b: 5 OCT 1863 Carroll Co. MO d: 1896 m: Laura Ann Margrave b: 10 JUL 1872 d: 5 JUN 1896 Carroll Co., MO Now the interesting thing is that the Finch Bible which is supposed to document the Calvert Line was listed as from Bosworth, MO which is where Katie was raised by her aunts. I am trying to get one of my family back in MO to give it a look. 3. To Gale & George and others of Interest: While reading about the Walke line and the Calvert line from a book by Rear Adm Henry Walke, called "Brief Records and Recollections of the Walke family and Relations in the United States" (Big Title":) His family goes back to the Early Lee's, Armistead's, Lawson, Moseley, Hancock, etc. He talkes about the "family" splitting and that the Family Crest ( Sir Geo. of the Virginia Company - writer and Author) was the same as his son, Lord Baltimore, except of the globe and cross on its crest. He talks about Cornelius Calvert (1) who married Mary Sanders, dau of the good Reverend. Also of Cornelius (2), a statesman, Mayor of Norfork, and one of the Orgn "Sons of Liberty", married to Eliz. Thoroughgood. Their dau Mary, married William Walke, plantation owner, and Statesman. Hope you can read this....my "spell check" is having a hard time in correting names, etc. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ M F SMITH, 6 yr Army Vet, Ret, AL, APS Genealogy.......... I received an answer citing the FTM CD in the "Roll of Honor, Civil War Union Soldiers" buried in Marietta, GA. National Cemetery," The citing is the following: #4622, J. R. Calvert, Sgt. Co. D 46th Infantry, d.o.d. 22 July 1864, grave #343. Originally buried in the vicinity of Atlanta, GA. I included in this note what the CD showed.. I hope that it will help someone else. Thanks again. 1. Re: [CALVERT-L] ISABELLA CALVERT
    2. George, Thank you for answering my query. Do you know the date of birth of your Isabella Calvert? My gr. grandmother was Isabella Calvert b. Grewelthorpe, Yks, Eng. who married James Metcalfe b. 1830 Kirkby Malzeard, Yks, England. They had one daughter, my grandmother, Mary Jane Metcalfe, b. 1878 Middlesbrough, Yks, Eng. Note: Your Isabella's mother's name was Mary and a sister named Jane. Coincidence or relation? I haven't been able to find Isabella and James' marriage record. I recently tried again at Middlesbrough in hopes their parents names will be on the document when I do find it. I have the GRO Index records for a few years from the Metcalfe Society on the James Metcalfe's, but haven't been able to get same on Isabella. The last time I went to LDS Library and asked about the GRO Index, no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I hope to be able to match James up to an Isabella Calvert on the index. Apparently the GRO Index is British? Keep me in mind. I will definitely keep this message from you until I find out who Isabella's parents were. Many thanks, Gerie

I wonder if you would share some data on your grandmother and great-grandfather. Like where Katie Lenore was born and where she died and to whom she married. Where was your great grandfather Stephen Calvert born, where did he died and to whom did he marry. If you are interested in any of John's line and want to know any data let me know. 2. George, I tried to send this to you directly but it bounced back as undeliverable. Thank you for telling me about the inventory for the estate of John CALVERT on Oct. 14, 1812. Are you in the John & Winifred line? If you are, have you ever seen any deeds that were attributed to John or Winifred? I was wondering if you have a copy of the actual Inventory or possibly any deeds? If you do I would truly appreciate copies of either. Of course I would reimburse you for the copies and the postage. I will send my address if you have anything but I'll need to know how to reach you by email. If so you can email me and let me know how much to send you and your address. If not I appreciate your taking the time to read my email. Thank you for any help you can provide. Joan Handtke [email protected]

    3. Hi I'm researching the Calvert family from Lincolnshire, England mainly from Owmby and Lincoln itself. I'd love to know if anyone out there is researching the same line. My Great Grandfather was John Henry Calvert and was born in the Lincoln Workhouse to Mary Ann Calvert (father unknown), I'm not sure what became of Mary Ann but John Henry lived with his Grandfather John and Johns second wife Mary Ann (nee Roberts). While John Henry was young he worked in the fields as a bird scarer but in later life he taught himself to read and write and read sermons at the local methodist church in Lincoln. As I have said John Henrys grandfather was John Calvert of Owmby , his grandmother was Elizabeth Driffill/Driffield Johns first wife. Johns parents were William and Elizabeth Calvert and Elizabeths parents were Thomas Driffill/Driffield and Sarah. Hope somebody out there is connected!
