I recently found out that another kind soul is doing them for the mailing list. I send a copy of the DCT not only to the original requestor but also to the mailing list so that it can be archived for future reference. That way if anyone in the future is looking for the same information, they might come across the transcription and be that much future ahead in their own research. I was told this by a Rootsweb person. I don't know if anyone has actually searched the archives and hit upon them, but I find it helpful for others to know which DCT's have already been done to save duplication of work.
