    3. Janice, I found a Mary Elizabeth Scoville b. 1861 in Maine d. 1949 Los Angeles, CA with fathers last name "Johnson". Could this be your Mary in the CADI? SCOVILLE MARY ELIZABETH 04/26/1861 CUMMINGS JOHNSON F MAINE LOS ANGELES(19) <http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/CA/LosAngeles> 07/28/1949 88 yrs The Charles "B." Scoville 50 years old, in the 1920 census (Pasadena, Los Angeles) is married to Fannie M. 30 years old, born Ohio. There are two children, a son and daughter both 23 years old and both born in IL. These appear to be Charles children from a previous marriage. Their mother is listed as born in PA. Charles is a Real Estate Investor. There are two servants in the household. They live next door to Mary A. Scoville, 90 years old born in New York. If indeed Charles had no children in 1900, this is probably not who you are looking for, unless the children were living with someone else in 1900. I looked for ALL Scoville's in the 1920 census born in CT. There were only 10 and none of them fit your Charles. There was one Scovill, who also didn't fit. Maybe Charles had passed before 1920 or was living with another family (any suggestions there?). Even though Ancestry.com says they've completed the index of the 1920 census, it's possible they missed indexing Charles. I have found some of my family members in the 1920 census and they are not listed in the index. Wish I could have been more help.
